SawSet Support Policy
Effective date: August 4, 2026
This policy explains what support is available for SawSet and what information is safe to include when you request help.
Supported Issues
Support can help with SawSet app issues such as:
- Trouble using chain-spec lookup, filing checklist, service cards, photo attachment, or Explain Chain Wear.
- Problems with camera or Photos permission flows inside SawSet.
- Questions about local service-card records, local photos, premium spec-library unlocks, or consumable credits.
- App crashes, purchase-display problems, or AI wear-note errors.
How to Request Support
Contact chaincards@sawset.app.
When requesting support, include only details that help diagnose the issue:
- Your SawSet app version if available.
- Your device model and iOS version.
- The screen or workflow where the problem happened.
- The chain brand family or stamp code if relevant.
- A short description of what you expected and what happened instead.
Do not send payment card numbers, passwords, private Apple account credentials, or unnecessary personal information. Do not send chainsaw injury, emergency, or urgent safety requests to SawSet support.
Explain Chain Wear uses a remote relay only when you request it. The reviewed client does not identify that relay's operator or server-side retention/deletion policy. Do not place sensitive personal, financial, account, or emergency information in service-card text used for an AI request.
Purchases and Apple Refunds
Apple handles App Store payments and refunds. For refund requests, use Apple's purchase history and refund tools. SawSet support can help explain how consumable credits and premium library unlocks behave in the app, but it does not process Apple refunds directly.
Local-Data Recovery Limits
SawSet is zero-account and local-first. It does not provide cloud backup, account recovery, or server-side restoration for service cards, photos, credit ledger entries, or AI wear notes.
SawSet support can explain the app's local behavior, but cannot promise retrieval, retention, or deletion of a remote AI request because the reviewed client does not expose a server-side relay policy.
If you delete SawSet, erase app data, replace a local photo, or lose access to the device, support may not be able to recover your records. A copy explicitly exported to Apple Photos is managed separately in Photos; replacing the App-local card photo does not delete that exported copy.
Product-Specific Safety Boundary
SawSet support can help explain how the app works. Support cannot certify that a chainsaw, chain, bar, file, raker gauge, or filing result is safe or correct. For physical equipment concerns, follow the manufacturer's instructions or consult a qualified chainsaw maintenance professional.
Unsupported Third-Party or Professional-Advice Requests
SawSet support does not provide emergency help, mechanical repair services, professional inspection, manufacturer warranty decisions, marketplace support, App Store refund processing, or legal/insurance advice.
