Product Scope and Data Posture

SawSet does not require an account and does not include login, cloud sync, or a social feed. It does not display third-party ads inside the chain bench. The release does include Adjust attribution, described below.

The core identify, match, file, and verify workflow runs on your device using bundled chain-spec data.

Information You Create

You may create filing sessions, checklist progress, service card names, service card records, optional chain photos, AI wear notes that you choose to pin, credit ledger entries, credit balances, and premium library unlock records.

SawSet stores this information locally on your device with app-local storage. If you delete app data or uninstall SawSet, local records and photos may not be recoverable.

Device Permissions and Photos/Media

SawSet asks for camera access only when you choose to take or replace a chain photo for a service card. When you choose Add Photo, SawSet displays Apple's system photo picker and receives only the image you select; the reviewed import path does not request access to browse your full photo library. SawSet asks for Photo Library add access only when you choose to save a service-card image to Photos.

Photos are optional. You can use SawSet's chain-spec lookup, filing checklist, and service-card features without adding a photo. Photos attached to service cards are stored locally as app data. The reviewed AI wear-note path does not send service-card photos to the AI relay.

Purchases and Apple Services

SawSet may offer consumable credits through Apple In-App Purchase. Credits can unlock premium brand spec libraries and pay for successful Explain Chain Wear generations. Apple handles payment processing. SawSet does not receive your full payment card details.

Consumable credits do not use a Restore Purchases flow.

Tracking, Analytics, Advertising, and AI

SawSet uses Adjust to measure whether external promotions lead to app sessions, first visits, or credit-pack purchase events, and it may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Declining ATT does not disable chain-code lookup, file and angle guidance, the filing checklist, service cards, or Explain Chain Wear; it limits identifiers available for attribution. When available, Adjust may process device or app identifiers, campaign fields, product-interaction events, and purchase-event metadata. The purchase call supplies revenue and currency fields for measurement, not a verified statement of the amount Apple ultimately charged.

The optional Explain Chain Wear feature uses a remote AI relay. When you use it, SawSet sends current and previous service-card dates, chain stamp/spec fields, completed-step counts, and the records' notes field when present. The reviewed UI does not provide an ordinary service-card notes input. SawSet does not send an account identifier because the app has no account system, and it does not send service-card photos to the AI relay.

AI wear notes are advisory, editable, and stored on a card only after you choose to pin them. AI output does not change SawSet's deterministic file diameter, cutter angle, or raker depth values.

The reviewed client intentionally seals the relay endpoint and model configuration. It does not identify the relay operator, a downstream model provider, or a server-side logging, retention, or deletion policy. SawSet therefore does not claim that AI requests are no-log, retained for any particular period, or eligible for server-side deletion. Do not put sensitive personal, financial, account, or safety-emergency information in a service-card name or any text that may be included in an AI request.

Network Access and Third Parties

The reviewed product facts show network access for Apple In-App Purchase services, the optional AI relay used by Explain Chain Wear, and privacy, agreement, and support pages opened from Settings. An AI request is sent to that remote relay when you choose the feature; the client does not disclose the relay's operator or downstream processor. The core chain-spec lookup and filing checklist do not require network access.

Retention, Deletion, and Security

SawSet keeps service cards, filing sessions, pinned wear notes, local photos, credit ledger entries, balances, and unlock records until app data is removed or the app is uninstalled. The reviewed UI does not provide per-record deletion. Replacing a service-card photo attempts to remove the old App-local photo file. A copy you explicitly export to Apple Photos is separately controlled in Photos and is not deleted by SawSet.

This describes local app storage only. The reviewed client does not establish how the remote AI relay retains or deletes a submitted request; SawSet makes no server-retention or server-deletion promise for that remote request.

Local device protections, such as your device passcode and operating system security, help protect app data stored on your device. SawSet does not claim independent security certification.
